Terrance Early (Coach Early)

Coach Early comes to us by way of San Jose, CA where he competed in Baseball, Football and Track & Field. As a youth he played center field on 2 Championship winning East Hills Little League baseball teams. While attending Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose, CA Coach Early played Cornerback/Wide Receiver for the 1990 Mount Hamilton Athletic League (MHAL) League Football Champions. As a sophomore he qualified for the Region 14 Track and Field Championships in the 100 meter dash, and as a senior he qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) section finals as part of the 4x100 relay team. Upon graduating from high school where he lettered multiple times, he walked on to the Fresno State University track and field team and earned a roster spot. His junior year Coach Early transferred to Sacramento State University on a track and field scholarship. He eventually found his way back to playing football, competing as a semi-pro for a few years, before a military deployment to Iraq sidelined his athletic career indefinitely.

Coach Early is a USATF Level 1 certified coach and former Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) member with many years dedicated to coaching the sport of Track and Field. He has coached athletes for the Eastside Panthers Track Club, Sacramento City Parks and Recreation Department, Elk Grove Unified School District, Consumnes River Parks and Recreation Department, West Sacramento Parks and Recreation Department, and Northern California Sports Alliance.
